Design Objective:
Show your understanding of research, target audiences, visual branding, and a restaurant’s overall identity system. You will create a set of visual design assets that form the foundation of this brand, using advanced knowledge of design principles, Gestalt theory, color theory, and visual organization to make strategic and effective design decisions.

Design Brief:
The primary logo for the Riverside Chargers features a black bear, referencing California’s state animal and connecting the team to its location. The design uses the Gestalt principle of closure, with partial shapes suggesting the bear’s form to create a bold, aggressive look. A subtle soccer ball pattern is integrated into the bear’s face to clearly represent the sport. The word “Chargers” is emphasized to strengthen brand recognition. Supporting logos include claw marks to maintain energy and consistency. The red, black, and white color palette reinforces the team’s strong and competitive identity.
